Her experience with the lack of resources and understanding within communities of color, propelled her to create Partum Evolution and work extensively at bringing awareness on the prevalence of perinatal mood disorders with a forthcoming documentary capturing the stories of women across the country.

    A Contracting Officer for the Government and Adjunct Professor at Georgetown University by day and advocate by night, she is on a mission to serve as a mental health warrior for people of color and help them transcend beyond their circumstance, create a sense of community, and embrace the journey. She sits on the board as First VP for the Metropolitan Chapter of the National Institute of Government Procurement (NIGP) as well as is a member of the National Coalition for 100 Black Women and Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.

    In her personal time, she is working on a forthcoming book sharing the power of resiliency and runs a popular podcast available everywhere entitled Amerikan Therapy which is dedicated to de-stigmatizing mental health.
